Sabine Agnew-Steldinger grew up in Berlin, Germany. Inspired by the city's diverse cultural offerings, she developed a strong interest in live and recorded music, collecting vinyl records from an early age.
In 2014, along with her husband, J.I., she founded Magnetic Fidelity, a world-class mastering facility with a focus on analog media. Their life and work became the subject of a full-length documentary film, directed in 2017 by Elina Verykiou and Vasilia Koutsiana, titled "Magnetic Fidelity: A Love Story", screened in various international film festivals and broadcast on national television in Greece.
Having received training in the use of Digital Audio Workstations, she started out editing radio jingles and worked her way up to editing, premastering and authoring for commercial album releases. She has worked on several highly successful albums released on CD, high resolution PCM and DSD formats, as well as the reel-to-reel tape and vinyl record releases of Magnetic Fidelity Records.
Joining the very small circle of women involved in vinyl record manufacturing, she was trained to operate the disk recording lathe. In addition, she has become proficient in tape editing with a razor blade and splicing tape.
Sabine is highly skilled in Computer Aided Design (CAD), having designed complicated precision parts for commercial manufacturing, while also being competent with hand and power tools, assisting in workshop operations.
She is an accomplished artist and photographer, with a strong background in Information Technology.
Having owned other businesses in the past and having organized international conferences, as well as publishing magazines and books, her experience in terms of project management, organization, communication and her practical skills keep the workflow smooth and our customers happy.
