The Agnew Analog Type 602 next to the Ortofon DSS 821

The new Agnew Analog Type 602 Stereophonic Cutter Head next to a vintage Ortofon DSS 821 Stereophonic Cutter Head, as a dimensional reference.

Both cutter heads can be fitted on a variety of different lathes and both are capable of outstanding sound quality, although their transducer systems are entirely different and require different cutting amplifier systems. The DSS 821 accepts the long-discontinued OSH-2 recording stylus (we may be able to help with these if you need some) while the Type 602 accepts the NSH-2, which is still in production, with versions available for lacquer mastering and plastics.

We have very important announcements coming this weekend so stay tuned!
