It was developed to control the hydraulics for the Agnew Analog Type 612 Disk Mastering Lathe, but can be adapted to many other lathes.
 
The Type 223 can cut outside-in or inside-out records, offering all the standard features while also offering special functions, such as extra-wide spirals and other unconventional features, where these are required.
 
Just like the .223 Remington cartridge, the Type 223 reliably gets the job done, every time.
