Unobtainable Parts for Vintage Audio Equipment
We have extensive experience designing, machining, assembling and calibrating high precision mechanical assemblies for disk recording lathes, turntables and tape machine transport systems, as well as modifying and converting existing mechanical assemblies of any vintage.
Such applications demand extreme precision, unusually tight tolerances, exceptionally low noise, controlled vibration and resonance characteristics, reliability in constant duty applications and low maintenance requirements, in addition to several other intense design and performance requirements.
Agnew Analog Reference Instruments has invested in super-precision machine tools, micromachining equipment and precision measurement instruments, along with custom tooling we design and manufacture in-house to enable us to work to any required specification for demanding projects.
Apart from research and development work for emerging technologies, new products, or bespoke equipment, we also take on restoration and modification work for vintage equipment. If you own a vintage machine in need of replacement parts, but they appear to be made of unobtainium, we can probably make them from scratch. If you need help with the design of a complex precision assembly, we would be happy to assist. If you already have the design but it proves tricky to get a part made to the required specifications, we might have the right tools for the job.
We take pride in our craft and have developed an international reputation as the leading supplier of precision engineering services for the audio industry.
